ES Safeguards has organized one-day workshop on 22 June 2022 at the Hotel Ambassador in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The objective of the workshop was to introduce stakeholders to the concept of HVECs as well as strategic environmental and social assessment (SESA) and cumulative impact assessment CIA), and its application to the definition of a set of HVECs most applicable to road planning and development in Nepal. The scoping exercise was designed to encourage the participants to examine the draft HVECs and make edits and adjustments, based on the expertise assembled.
