ES Safeguards, under the ADB technical assistant, has conducted a 5 day virtual online training program for ‘Uttar Pradesh Power Distribution Network Rehabilitation Project’ in India from 22/06/21 to 28/06/21. This training workshop was aimed to provide guidance on Planning and Implementation of Environmental and Social Safeguards requirements for the mentioned project in India.
The training workshop was designed for the engineers and safeguard (environment, health & safety and social) officers from four Distribution Companies (DISCOMs), Turnkey Contractors (TKCs), Project Management Agents (PMAs) and Project Management Consultant (PMC). Over 237 officers from these agencies attended the virtual training programs.
